Fall is upon us and it’s time to celebrate the season. From harvest to Halloween and on to Thanksgiving, the warm autumn colors transform us from our active summer selves to our more reflective winter personnas. The brilliant colors of fall are inspirational and remind us that all life is constantly changing. After all, change is good.
Fall is the perfect time of year to dress up the front door with sunflowers or harvest fruits, cones and nuts. Send the kids on a scavenger hunt for the most colorful leaf or fallen cones and acorns, then fill a bowl with their treasures or scatter around a pumpkin spice candle. Remember when we ironed fall leaves between wax paper to preserve them. (Don’t forget to cover the wax paper with plain paper before ironing.) These leaves are great for tucking into wreaths or garlands and for table settings; what a gorgeous cheese platter liner they make.
For Halloween in a hurry, add our adorable clip-on witch hat to your hairdo. It turns a little black dress into an instant costume. Add spider jewelry to complete the look; these bracelets and rings can double as candle decor or napkin rings also.
You asked for more hassle free decorating choices , so this year we have a beautiful selection of harvest wreaths and garlands ready to use with or without ribbon. Choose the cone and fruit look or the hawthorn berry style and exted your effort through the yuletide season. Add sparkle to these same products with glass and ribbon to brighten it for Christmas. Learn these and other tricks by attending our Mantles and Garlands Seminar, either October 11 or November 8. Call 770/ 972-7237 for reservations.
